Gangaur Festival, Jaipur

Gangaur is one of the most important festivals for women in Rajasthan, celebrated for eighteen days in honor of Goddess Gauri, who is believed to bring marital happiness. Both married and unmarried women across Rajasthan partake in this vibrant celebration.

The images of Goddess Gauri are exquisitely adorned and decorated, and offerings are made to seek her blessings for a good husband, as well as health, wealth, and a long life for their spouses.

A grand procession is held, with women dressed in colorful, beautiful attire, singing traditional songs as they bid farewell to Goddess Gauri, symbolizing her journey to her husband’s home.
