Jaisamand Sanctuary, Udaipur Overview
Covering an area of 52 sq km, Jaisamand Sanctuary is a haven of dense woodlands, offering a rich diversity of wildlife. The sanctuary is home to predators like the leopard, hyena, jungle cat, fox, and wolf. In addition, it hosts an array of herbivores such as sambar, chital, langur, and chinkara. The Jaisamand Lake, located within the sanctuary, is home to crocodiles, turtles, and a variety of fish species. A variety of both land and water birds can also be spotted in this serene environment.
Best Time to Visit
The ideal time to visit is between November and April, when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities and wildlife viewing.

By Air: The nearest airport is Maharana Pratap Airport in Udaipur, well-connected to major cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Aurangabad, Delhi, and Mumbai.
By Train: Udaipur Railway Station is well-connected with Delhi, with faster connections via the Mewar Express from Nizamuddin Station. The Lake City Express and Mewar Express are excellent choices from Jaipur. There are also good train connections from Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
By Road: Udaipur is accessible via NH8, linking Delhi to Mumbai through Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
