Tour Itinerary

Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted to your hotel via a private or shared vehicle, depending on your flight arrival time. Once at the hotel, you will receive your travel kit, which includes the tour itinerary, general information about India, a feedback form, and your room keys. Enjoy a relaxing evening to unwind and recover from your long journey.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, gather in the lobby where our guide will provide a brief overview of the day’s sightseeing itinerary. Board the vehicle and begin your Delhi exploration, starting with a tour of Old and New Delhi, where you’ll experience the contrasting cultures of both regions. First, drive past the majestic Red Fort, built by Shah Jahan when he established his capital, Shahjahanabad (modern-day Delhi). The fort’s impressive boundary stretches over 2 kilometers. Next, visit the Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, also commissioned by Shah Jahan.

Following this, we’ll have some free time to explore Chandni Chowk, Delhi’s oldest and busiest market. This vibrant, bustling area is best navigated via a rickshaw ride, which will take you through its narrow, crowded lanes. Here, you can shop for Indian dresses, spices, and unique souvenirs. Next, we’ll head to New Delhi, where you’ll visit iconic landmarks such as India Gate, the President’s Palace, and Parliament House. Enjoy a delicious Indian lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your exploration.

After lunch, visit the Qutub Minar, the tallest minaret in India, built by Sultan Qutb-ud-Din Aibak in 1200 AD, followed by a visit to Humayun’s Tomb, an architectural marvel built by Humayun’s widow, Haji Begum, in the Persian style. If time permits, we’ll also visit the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, a renowned Sikh temple in Delhi. Return to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

Start your day early with breakfast and a brief meeting in the hotel lobby. We will then drive to our next destination in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, an untouched area renowned for its rich Rajput heritage and art. Upon arrival in Mandawa, a prominent town in Shekhawati, we will check into our palace-converted hotel. After freshening up, we will embark on a sightseeing tour of Mandawa, famous for its exquisite frescoes and grand havelis.

Visit notable havelis like Gori Shankar Haveli and Goenka Haveli, each adorned with intricate frescoes that decorate the walls and ceilings. Enjoy a guided walk through the charming lanes of Mandawa, where you’ll have the chance to experience the traditional life of the local people, free from the influence of modernity. Explore the tiny hamlets and gain insight into the daily lives of the residents. In the evening, return to the heritage hotel for a peaceful overnight stay.

Places to Visit: Frescoes and Havelis

After breakfast, we begin our journey to Bikaner, a city founded by Prince Rao Bikaji, known for its impressive forts and palaces. Upon arrival in Bikaner, check into your heritage hotel. After some rest and relaxation, we will explore the city’s rich history, starting with the iconic Junagarh Fort, built by Raja Rai Singh. Next, we visit the Lallgarh Palace, constructed from red sandstone and showcasing a blend of Rajput, Muslim, and European architectural styles. The palace has now been converted into a hotel.

Later, we’ll visit one of India’s most unique temples, the Karni Mata Temple (Deshnok), also known as the « Rat Temple, » where thousands of rats are worshipped and can be seen roaming freely within the temple.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Camel Breeding Farm, the largest of its kind in Asia, managed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). After exploring the farm, we will continue our journey to Jaisalmer, the Golden City of Rajasthan, renowned for its stunning havelis, forts, and vast sand dunes. Upon arrival in Jaisalmer, check in to your hotel or haveli. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the city at your own pace.

After a relaxed morning and breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Our first stop will be the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Quila, famous for its stunning sandstone architecture. Next, we will visit the charming havelis, including Nathmal ji ki Haveli and Salim ji ki Haveli, known for their exquisite design and intricate craftsmanship.

We will then head to Bada Bagh and Gadsisar Lake, located on the outskirts of the city. These spots were built by the Maharaja of Jaisalmer to conserve water, and you can enjoy a peaceful boat ride while spotting migratory birds. In the late afternoon, we will venture to the sand dunes for a memorable camel ride, where you can experience the stunning sunset and the changing colors of the dunes. To complete the experience, we will enjoy a live Rajasthani folk dance performance followed by a delicious theme dinner.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive towards Jodhpur, a city where the Maharajas still reside in their grand palace. En route, we will make a stop at the historic Osian village, located 40 km from Jodhpur. Known for its Jain temples and scenic sand dunes, Osian offers a peaceful glimpse of rural Rajasthan.

Continuing our journey, we will reach Jodhpur and check into the hotel. After a quick rest and freshen up, we will visit Mehrangarh Fort, which stands majestically atop a hill, overlooking the famed « Blue City » of Jodhpur. As one of India’s largest forts, it showcases the finest of Jodhpuri architecture and craftsmanship. Afterward, we will head to Jaswant Thada, a stunning white marble memorial built in honor of Jodhpur’s rulers. In the evening, enjoy some free time to explore the bustling Clock Tower Bazaar, where you can shop for Jodhpuri clothes, Indian spices, and local handicrafts.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a scenic drive to Udaipur, known as the « City of Lakes » and sometimes referred to as the « Venice of the East. » En route, we will stop to visit the renowned Ranakpur Jain Temples, famous for their stunning architecture and the four-faced temple dedicated to Adinath. Take time to marvel at the intricate carvings and the peaceful surroundings before continuing our journey to Udaipur.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, we will head to the serene lake area for a boat ride, which will take us from the City Palace to the captivating Jag Mandir Island Palace. Located in the middle of Lake Pichola, this picturesque palace once served as the summer retreat of the royal family of Udaipur. Enjoy refreshments at one of the island’s charming restaurants while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. Jag Mandir is also a popular venue for royal weddings and grand events.

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a full day of sightseeing in Udaipur. Our first stop will be the magnificent City Palace Museum, located by the scenic Lake Pichola. This palace offers a stunning display of intricate glasswork, mirror art, and exquisite frescoes adorning the walls and ceilings. You will also get a glimpse of the personal belongings of the Maharajas.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Jagdish Temple, known for its beautiful architecture, followed by a visit to Saheliyon-Ki-Bari, the Garden of the Maidens. This tranquil garden was once a retreat for the royal ladies, where they would gather and enjoy leisurely activities. You can also enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake and the surrounding areas. Later, we will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the village of Pushkar, renowned for hosting the largest camel fair in November, attracting many cattle owners and dancers who gather here for their livelihoods. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Pushkar holds significant importance in Hindu mythology, as it is home to the only Brahma Temple in the world, dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. We will visit the temple and explore the nearby sacred Pushkar Lake, where devotees can be seen taking ritual dips. You may also enjoy an optional camel cart ride through the village, providing a unique experience of local life.

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we will set off towards the sacred city of Ajmer, a significant pilgrimage destination for both Hindu and Muslim devotees. Our first stop will be the renowned Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, followed by a visit to the historical Adhai Din ka Jhonpra. From Ajmer, we will continue our journey to Jaipur, the vibrant capital of Rajasthan, known for its rich culture and history. Along the way, enjoy the scenic countryside, passing by small villages and seeing local farmers with their cattle.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into your hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing. In the evening, immerse yourself in the local artistry by visiting Sanganer, a town famous for its traditional block printing and floral designs on fabrics and papers. You can even purchase a plain cloth and have a custom floral design created. The evening will conclude with a delightful dinner accompanied by a lively cultural performance featuring Rajasthani dancers. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After a quick breakfast at the hotel, we will gather in the lobby and begin a full day of sightseeing in Jaipur. Our first stop will be the magnificent Amber Fort, located just outside the city. Built by Maharaja Man Singh, this stunning fort is crafted from red sandstone and marble, and showcases intricate glasswork in the courtyards and palaces once occupied by the royal family. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience a royal ride on an elephant, offering a true feel of royalty.

Next, we’ll head to Jaigarh Fort, which offers a panoramic view of Amber Fort. Built in the 18th century, this fort was once a military stronghold for the rulers, housing weapons and metals used for warfare. One of the main attractions here is the world’s largest cannon on wheels, an impressive sight for visitors.

Afterwards, we’ll drive into the pink city of Jaipur and stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we’ll continue our exploration with visits to iconic landmarks like the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), known for its many windows that once allowed the royal ladies to observe street life while staying hidden from view. Then, we’ll visit Jantar Mantar, the largest observatory in India, with a replica also found in Delhi. We’ll conclude the day’s sightseeing at the City Palace Museum, the residence of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II, where some areas have been converted into a museum, while the royal family continues to reside there.

The evening is free for you to explore the vibrant local bazaars of Jaipur, where you can shop for semi-precious stones and unique souvenirs for your loved ones. Return to the hotel for a restful night.

After a relaxing morning at the hotel, we will head towards Agra, the highlight of our tour. Enroute, we will stop at the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, located just 40 km from Agra. Though in ruins, Fatehpur Sikri is famous for its striking fort, built by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. After exploring this historical site, we will continue our journey to Agra, where we will arrive by afternoon and check-in to our hotel to relax.

Later, we’ll proceed to visit the iconic Taj Mahal, the monument of love. Here, you can enjoy a fun Tonga (horse-drawn carriage) ride to the entry gate of the Taj. Upon arrival, our guide will take you on a tour, sharing fascinating details about the history and architecture of this magnificent marble structure. Optional: In the evening, you may choose to visit the Kalakriti Cultural Centre, where we will enjoy a live stage performance showcasing the legendary love story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal.

After the performance, we will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and gather in the lobby for a visit to the Agra Fort, the majestic red-sandstone fort located on the banks of the Yamuna River. Built by the great Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century, the fort stands as a testament to Mughal architecture and history. Afterward, explore the vibrant local markets of Agra, known for their marble items, carpets, leather goods, and more.

In the afternoon, we will continue our drive to Delhi along one of India’s finest highways. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home or to your onward destination.
